What Can Neurological MRI Detect?
Common Conditions Diagnosed
Our Neurological MRI scans are designed to uncover a wide range of issues affecting your brain, spinal cord, and nerves. From common concerns like migraines to more complex conditions, our scans give doctors the clarity they need to understand what’s happening. Here’s what we can detect:
- Brain tumors or abnormal growths
- Stroke or signs of reduced blood flow to the brain
- Seizure disorders, like epilepsy
- Multiple sclerosis or other nerve-related conditions
- Brain injuries, such as concussions or traumatic brain injury
- Causes of chronic headaches or migraines
- Spinal cord injuries or compression
- Nerve damage or inflammation causing weakness or numbness
- Conditions affecting memory or movement, like Parkinson’s or Alzheimer’s
Specialized Neuro MRIs

Ideal for diagnosing brain tumors, strokes, seizures, or causes of headaches and cognitive issues, providing clear images for accurate treatment plans.

Spinal Cord MRI
Focused on detecting spinal cord injuries, compression, or conditions like multiple sclerosis that affect nerve function.

Cervical Spine MRI
Examines the neck area of the spine to identify issues causing neck pain, numbness, or nerve problems.

Thoracic Spine MRI
Targets the mid-back to diagnose spinal cord issues or nerve-related symptoms in the upper body.

Lumbar Spine MRI
Focuses on the lower back to uncover causes of lower back pain, sciatica, or leg weakness.

Functional MRI (fMRI)
Maps brain activity to assist in planning surgeries or understanding neurological conditions.
The Procedure
Getting a Neurological MRI at Mosaic Diagnostics is straightforward and stress-free. You’ll lie on a comfortable, padded table that slides into the MRI machine, which looks like a large, open tube (we also offer Open MRI for extra comfort). For brain scans, your head may rest in a cushioned holder, and for spinal scans, you’ll be positioned to focus on the spine. The scan takes about 30–60 minutes, and you’ll hear some loud tapping or buzzing sounds (we provide earplugs or headphones). Just relax, stay still, and our friendly team will guide you through everything to ensure you feel at ease.
Expert Interpretation
Your Neurological MRI results are analyzed by Dr. Feldmann, who has specialized fellowship training in neurological imaging. This expertise ensures your scans are reviewed with precision, catching even the smallest details. Dr. Feldmann collaborates closely with your doctor to provide clear, actionable insights, helping you get answers and start your path to recovery sooner.
Why MRI for Neurology?
A Neurological MRI is far more detailed than X-rays or CT scans, showing clear images of the brain, spinal cord, and nerves. This makes it ideal for diagnosing complex neurological conditions that other tests might miss. Best of all, it’s completely safe, using no radiation—just magnets and radio waves. At Mosaic Diagnostics, our advanced MRI technology delivers high-quality images, giving your doctor the information needed to create a personalized treatment plan that’s right for you
