MR Angiography (MRA): Detailed Imaging for Blood Vessels
MR Angiography (MRA) is a safe, non-invasive way to get a clear, detailed look at your blood vessels. At Mosaic
Diagnostics, we use advanced MRA technology to help doctors identify issues like blockages, aneurysms, or other
vascular conditions without the need for invasive procedures. Whether you’re experiencing symptoms or need a
check-up, our scans provide precise images to guide your diagnosis and treatment, keeping you comfortable and
informed every step of the way.
What Can MR Angiography Detect?
Common Conditions Diagnosed
ur MRA scans are designed to spot a wide range of issues affecting your blood vessels, from minor
blockages to serious conditions. Whether it’s in your brain, heart, or other parts of the body, our scans give
doctors the clarity they need to understand what’s happening. Here’s what we can detect:
- Aneurysms (weak spots in blood vessel walls)
- Blood vessel blockages or narrowing (stenosis)
- Blood clots that could lead to stroke or other issues
- Abnormal blood vessel formations (arteriovenous malformations)
- Vascular issues in the brain, like those causing strokes
- Heart vessel problems, such as coronary artery disease
- Kidney or liver blood vessel conditions
- Causes of poor circulation, swelling, or pain in limbs
- Pre-surgical planning for vascular procedures
MRA Vascular Imaging

Focuses on blood vessels in the brain to diagnose aneurysms, stroke risks, or abnormal vessel formations.

Carotid Artery MRA
Examines neck arteries to detect blockages or narrowing that could lead to strokes.

Coronary MRA
Targets heart blood vessels to identify issues like coronary artery disease or blockages.

Renal MRA
Focuses on kidney blood vessels to diagnose conditions affecting kidney function or blood flow.

Peripheral MRA
Examines blood vessels in the arms, legs, or pelvis to detect poor circulation or blockages.

Abdominal MRA
Targets blood vessels in the abdomen to diagnose issues in organs like the liver or spleen.
The Procedure
Getting an MRA at Mosaic Diagnostics is simple and stress-free. You’ll lie on a comfortable, padded table that
slides into the MRI machine, which looks like a large, open tube (we also offer [Open MRI] for extra comfort). Depending on the area being scanned, you may need to hold
your breath briefly to capture clear images. The scan takes about 30–60 minutes, and you’ll hear some loud
tapping or buzzing noises (we provide earplugs or headphones). In some cases, a safe contrast dye may be used
to make blood vessels stand out. Our friendly team will guide you and ensure you feel at ease throughout.
Expert Interpretation:
Why MRA for Blood Vessels?
Unlike traditional angiograms that require catheters, MRA is non-invasive and uses no radiation—just magnets
and radio waves. It provides detailed images of blood vessels that X-rays or CT scans can’t match, making it ideal
for diagnosing complex vascular conditions. Plus, it’s completely safe and comfortable. At Mosaic Diagnostics,
our advanced MRA technology delivers high-quality images, giving your doctor the information needed to create
a personalized treatment plan that works for you.
